On Always Being Late
Do you feel like you're always late?
As you can see by this newsletter, I'm late AGAIN. I have been feeling guilty about being late as I know my readers are expecting this newsletter to be available the 1st of the month.
And of course, I have my excuses all excuses are legitimate - according to me!
Honest!
Do you sometimes feel that way - that you're always running a little late? Late to work, late to a meeting, late to _______________.
No one really cares about my excuses because they have problems of their own.
Bottom line - I have to ask myself the question - WHY AM I LATE?
Well - to be honest, I'm on the computer so much that I wanted to take a break. What I'm seeing is that I'm not completing projects, because I'm always behind.
Is this you? Can you relate to this?
I have choices - so do you. Right now, my choice is to STOP everything and do what I've committed myself to do - which is to get my newsletter out in a timely manner.
Oh yes, if time is linear - then nothing is really late. It's all an illusion.
But, since we have to live on this planet, and we have chosen to be human like (I'm joking!) - we also have to be responsible and perhaps, organize our lives better.
So, this is what I'm going to do. I will continue my monthly newsletter because many of you have written and told me how much you enjoy the meditations.
During the month, I will send out short (very short) weekly inspirational intentions as food for thought.
LAST THOUGHT:
IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO...
have an awareness that you may be being late to often.
This Day my intention is to start keeping a journal in which I document the times I am late. In keeping a Lateness Journal I will then begin to understand why this happens, what I can do to change the pattern, write down my progress including how I feel about making a change.
This day is am late because _______________________
Is this a pattern of mine? _________________________
How can I change this pattern? ____________________
How have I progressed? __________________________
Remember: have fun with your Lateness Journal! Don't beat yourself up if you're late again for the same thing. Just notice it, write it down in you Lateness Journal, and ask yourself the above questions.
It's not a job so make it fun! And I'll do the same.
