Love
Many
of us have lost loved ones through some form of tragedy,
be it illness, war, accidents, or abuse, to name a few.
This
month we as American's are reminded of 9/11 - an event that
shook the world. Now others are experiencing these types
of tragedies.

I
have a friend who lost a sister due to spousal abuse, I
have a nation who lost thousands on September 11, 2001,
I know of people dying of starvation on our streets, and
the list goes on.
This
month's intention is a difficult one, yet I truly believe
that Love is Eternal...we won't forget those we've loved
and lost, including our precious animals.

Intention
Exercise: Eternal Love
Please have a pad and pen close by so you
can record your thoughts or answers.
| It
is time to set the stage by putting on some soft music.
Take the phone off the hook, turn off your cell phone and
BE FULLY PRESENT for this exercise.
Close
your eyes....relax, relax.....every part of your body....just
relax.
Let
go of any worries or concerns...this is your time...relax,
just relax.
This
will be a drawing exercise...as you're drawing, don't
judge what you are drawing, just let your thoughts flow
freely.
Draw
a circle. Fill it with the Energy of Love...
What
colors are you using?
How
do those colors feel? Warm, angry, happy, sad, appreciative?
When you are ready, draw a
heart (or several hearts) in the circle. Each heart will
represent the name of someone you hold dear, a treasured
pet, perhaps the environment, our world, other countries.
If you need a larger piece of paper simply attach it to
the one you are already using. Be creative....
Feel the feelings that are
inside. Be with your feelings NOW.
When
you are ready coloring, drawing, or whatever you are doing....
close your eyes...breathe out the breath of life and see
your art work coming alive and vibrant.
Feel
the ETERNAL LOVE NOW - BLOW IT INTO YOUR ART, INTO YOUR
SPACE, OUT TO OTHERS AND THE WORLD.
Breathe
in slowly and breathe out slowly.
How
do you feel?
Call
someone up and tell them you love them, hug a friend,
a family member, a pet, a tree - your choice - but rejoice
in ETERNAL LOVE

Dylan was 6 yrs.
old when he left Korea to be adopted by an American family.
Raised in a family with a healthcare background, Dylan
chose to go into that field as well. He has a MPAS (Masters
as a Physician Assistant Scientist) and loves what he
is doing. In fact, I first met him because he was assigned
to me as my PA. I was impressed with Dylan from the beginning.
His
manner of communicating with patients includes humor and
real concern. He listens and truly cares about each patient
he is assigned to. I credit him with "curing"
my Lyme Disease.
We
talked about him being an orphan and the cross-culture
adoptions that are happening in the U.S. He feels that
there should be better understanding of what this means
to others. A major issue in the cross-culture adoption
is often a sense of "not belonging" which is
already a common emotion with most adoptees.
Dylan
also told me that wherever he goes, he meets adoptees.
Very coincidental - perhaps this is his true mission in
life. Who knows? But for now, Dylan loves what he is doing
and loves the medical field.
Words of wisdom from Dylan:
"Your
potential in life has nothing to do with your background.
It is the drive within. Adoption does not stop you from
living your life in that it is probably better."
