Luck.
It
has been said that we make our own LUCK! But what about
all the hard times we go through?
Have
you heard these words?
Why
is it that someone else gets the job or the relationship
that I deserve?
Why
is it that the person who seems to be a jerk gets all
the luck?
I
have asked myself these questions over and over many times.
I've been faced with incredible challenges when someone
else just "schmoozes" his/her way through life.
What
I have learned is that LUCK does begin
with YOU! Yep - hard to swallow. Think about it. How many
times have you missed an opportunity because you didn't
believe you "could do it.?" How many times have
you had a gut feeling and not gone through with it?
Are
you ready to embrace luck in your life? I sure am!
The
following is an intention exercise on LUCK!

Intention
Exercise: LUCK
This
is an exercise to get back in touch with the energy of LUCK.
Please have a pad and pen close
by so you can record your thoughts or answers.
| It
is time to set the stage by putting on some soft music.
Take the phone off the hook, turn off your cell phone and
BE FULLY PRESENT for this exercise. This exercise is all
about the ENERGY OF LUCK.
Close
your eyes and ask yourself...
How
do I feel about Luck?
Do
I feel that I deserve it?
When
was the last time I was LUCKY?
Do
I want to be LUCKY?
Why
is it so important to be LUCKY?
Visualize
yourself being LUCKY while thinking about these questions.
How
does that feel? Can you imagine yourself being lucky?
Can you feel the excitement and passion about being lucky?
Will feeling LUCKY be for the good? Is your intention
of Luck coming from your heart and soul?
Tap
into all your senses. Be with LUCK....take a few minutes
and feel it.
Think:
Gratitude as you are doing this exercise.

In the creative process, the serendipity
comes most often when I am engaged in the process than
when I am in judgment and fear and not doing anything.
Given permission to proceed in a creative endeavor without
being perfect creates the opportunity for the process
to result in wonderful discoveries.
The more I practice my craft, the
more "luck" I have.

For years I wrote story after story
about my life in the Children's Home Society Orphanage
in Jacksonville, Florida. How we kids were unloved and
mistreated.
I wrote "American Orphan"
because I wanted to write something special. Something
that would say "thank you" to the "few"
people who were kind to me.
The few who gave me small bits
and pieces of kindness, and hope to build a life upon.
Without them I would have had no spirit at all.
These are those stories. Some of
them have been printed in children's school textbooks
in France, Japan, Israel and Canada. Eight of my stories
have been printed in books such as "Chicken Soup
for the Soul" as well as "Heartwarmers".
