October Mid-Month Intention-to-Share

Remember: "I intend" is your heart's desire; "that I am" is telling your subconscious mind that you mean business.
Always use the word NOW somewhere in your intention. Act as if it is happening NOW.

Have you ever noticed that when people wave, they usually smile? The two actions seem to always happen together. I walk my adorable Meadow (a rescue dog) several times a day. I've noticed that people have gotten used to my walking her and they wave each time they pass me in their car. Especially in the early morning hours. They are smiling while waving and I'm smiling and waving right back. These people bring me such joy. What a way to start the day. But wait, I have another story to tell.

Today I was driving along the beautiful countryside when I happened upon a section of the road that was being worked on. I started thinking about these very tenacious men and women who work on the roads of our nation. Many of them work in all kinds of weather and are on their feet for very long hours. Many of them stand for hours holding the signs "Stop or Slow" making sure that traffic is running in sync with their workload. Amazing people that so many of us take for granted.

I saw a courageous-looking, older bearded man and smiled. While waving, I smiled at him. You should have seen his eyes gleaming with joy as he began to smile ... realizing that someone appreciates what he is doing.

Is there someone you know who could use a wave and a smile together?

It WILL make YOU feel better because you've brought some joy into someone else's life.
And that joy WILL bounce back to you.

Intention Exercise: Wave
Please have a pad and pen close by so you can record your thoughts.

When you are ready to sit down and journal your thoughts, then come back to this page. When you are ready let's set the stage by putting on some soft music, take the phone off the hook, turn OFF your cell phone and BE FULLY PRESENT for this exercise.

Sit. Be still. Breathe in and out slowly as you begin to relax from the top of your head to the bottom of your toes. Breathe in the breath of life - breathe out with purpose. Just relax, relax more and more...

Imagine that you are making a plan to wave at as many people as you can today.

Can you make a mental list of the possible people you would encounter and bring a little joy into their lives?

Emotionally, how does this gift feel to you?

When was the last time you brought a smile to someone else's face simply by waving?

Start a Wave Journal and write down your daily wave exercise.

Write down your feelings... was it fun? a drag? Did you notice something you have never noticed?

Make it a game - see if you can outdo yourself each day!

Make a list and let it grow.

With the list FEEL THE EMOTION WITHIN YOU.
