Mid-Month Intention-to-Share
Remember how to write your intention. This is the most effective way:
"I intend" is your heart's desire or something you are going to do NOW; "that I am" is telling your subconscious mind that you mean business.
Always use the word NOW somewhere in your intention. Act as if it is happening NOW.
Inner Teacher
Today, while walking Meadow (my beautiful rescue dog for those who have not heard about her), I was thinking about my favorite teacher. I don't know why this popped in my head but I still have the same warm feelings towards this teacher, even though she transitioned years ago.
Most of us have had a favorite teacher. Mine was named Mrs. Fredricks who was both kind and encouraging. One day, I went to court to become a naturalized citizen. Only a few friends knew that I had gone, but when I got back to school, everyone knew. She arranged for an announcement on the PA system AND my classmates gave me a party. She also was encouraging in my studies and helped me whenever she could. Mrs. Fredricks made me feel that she believed in me and in my abilities.
As an adult I know now that we have two different types of teachers — the Outer and the Inner. Sometimes we don't want to listen to the "Inner Teacher" because it may scold or not be supportive. I have found that this is often true of the old negative chatter that we've carried with us from childhood, but our "Inner Teacher" is very different. Every one of us has an Inner Teacher whose purpose it is to help you (me) learn something from actions taken or thoughts that may not be in our best interest.
I've learned, through the years, to distinguish between the two "voices" and to listen to my Inner Teacher which has always been helpful. It's not about being right, but about recognizing and appreciating the lesson learned.
Are you in touch with your "Inner" as well as your "Outer" teacher?
Think about this....
Intention
Exercise: Connecting With My Inner Teacher

Please have a pad and pen close by so you
can record your thoughts.
Close your eyes and imagine what it is that you want to have happen this moment, this hour, this day, this month, this year.
Breathe in from your diaphragm, breathe out from your mouth and say "ahhhhhhhhhhhhh" Do that several times as you're going into a relaxed state.
Write down all the teachers who have made a difference in your life.
Why are they special?
Now close your eyes and imagine your Inner Teacher. Is there a name? male or female?
What are some of the messages your Inner Teacher is giving you?
When have you not listened — and wished you had?
What messages are you receiving now?
Remember: There are actually three teachers. May I suggest that you get to know them for they are available, you simply have to listen.
1) Inner Teacher 2) Outer Teacher 3) And YOU the Teacher |
