February's
Mid-Month Intention
Many
of us have been taught to create a map - a treasure map - towards our
goals.
This
is a fun project to do but it is often quite complicated.
As
in many maps, there are crossroads, turns, detours, etc.
Sometimes
it can become difficult to figure out which way to go, what the next
step is.
So,
why not try something simpler? A compass has four main directions -
North, South, East and West.
Yes,
there are also the in-between stops that are the Southwest, Northeast
and so forth.
Sometimes
we may feel lost because of so many choices. A compass can make life
so much simpler by giving you the opportunity to feel what is right
for you.
Achieving your goal is all about passion, about experiencing, about
getting in touch with your true feelings and your creativity.
According
to Stephen Shapiro author of "Goal Free Living" you
need to find your
"compass settings" which are according to Stephen..
Passion
Skills
Values
What
is YOUR 4th direction?
You
decide what it will be.
Life
does NOT have to be complicated and achieving goals can be fun, simple,
filled with passion which will bring you new skills and values. Let
me know what YOUR fourth direction is. Simply email me at karin@karinjanin.com.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Intention
Exercise: Compass
Please have a pad and pen close by so you
can record your thoughts or answers.
If
you'd like to take a walk or a drive before doing this
exercise, go ahead. When you are ready to sit down and
journal your thoughts, then come back to this page. When
you are ready let's set the stage by putting on some soft
music. Take the phone off the hook, turn OFF your cell
phone and BE FULLY PRESENT for this exercise.
If you have a Compass, sit down with it and just breathe
gently in and out.
If
you do not have a Compass, take a piece of paper and draw
one. No one is going to judge your drawing as this is
for you and only you. Once you've finished, sit with it
and breathe gently in and out.
Ask
yourself - which direction am I going?
Write
your answer down. Why did you think that?
Which
direction is your passion?
Is
your passion directly related to the direction you are
going?
Is
that direction a reflection of your values?
How
can you keep your "journey" simple and on course?
Now
relax with your answers - then let them go.
Are
you worried that your direction may change?
So
what! With Change comes new opportunities. What new direction
are you going?
Enjoy
the ride • Be open to the possibilities!
