April Mid-Month Intention-to-Share

Remember how to write your intention. This is the most effective way:
"I intend" is your heart's desire or something you are going to do NOW; "that I am" is telling your subconscious mind that you mean business.
Always use the word NOW somewhere in your intention. Act as if it is happening NOW.

Today I wanted to cry my heart out.

Yes, I have to admit that I too have moments of sadness. Is that a bad thing to admit to my readers? I don't think so because I pride myself on being authentic. Crying is a part of all our lives so I decided to open up to my own vulnerability. I seldom cry but when the need to do so happens, I am right there with it. I don't ignore crying - I let it happen and look into why this is happening.

Crying is good for your health. Read on.

So many sad things have happened in my life - loss of my 1st adopted father who was a saint, loss of family members, loss of friendships due to a major move, etc. Memories of tragedies and losses have come up once again and I know I have to face these situations. Why now? I don't know but the Universe wants me to take a look at this one more time.

Have you ever had this situation come up for you?

I know that crying is good for your health. It's a way of releasing whatever emotion is inside that is holding you back from something. Perhaps, feeling love again, feeling hopeful, feeling joy.

But then I'm also one of those people who cries when I'm happy as well as sad. Give me a happy ending at a movie and I'll just break down and cry for joy! I'm not afraid to cry because I know that it stirs some emotion in me that can heal whatever needs to be healed. Crying also bring up an awareness about something that, perhaps, needed to be revisited one more time.

I am very grateful for the life I now lead. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to believe it's real. So why do I allow myself the luxury of going back into the past? Perhaps it's because I need to revisit it and know that I don't have to stay there. Perhaps it's a reality check for me.

What is it for you?

Intention Exercise: Crying for health
Please have a pad and pen close by so you can record your thoughts.

Close your eyes and imagine what it is that you want to have happen this moment, this hour, this day, this month, this year.

Breathe in from your diaphragm, breathe out from your mouth and say "ahhhhhhhhhhhhh" Do that several times as you're going into a relaxed state.

When was the last time you cried?

Was it hard, soft, loud, muffled?

What have you learned from the crying you have been doing?

Are you ready to close that door to the past and live in the present?

Do you have a friend who is sad and crying?

Can you help them just by what you have learned?

How has crying changed your life?

How was your experience with this meditation?
