April Mid-Month Intention-to-Share

Do you know who and what you really want to be?

Can you visualize that person? Can you sense that person?

Research has proven that the mind cannot tell the difference between a real occurrence and one that has been well-imagined. The moment you experience an event vividly in your imagination it is recorded as experience.

This is called Mental Rehearsal.

Tiger Woods is a great example of someone who practices in his mind what he is going to do. He not only knew what he wanted to become, but he practiced it mentally day after day. I recently listened to an interview he did on TV and he is truly an inspiration. Even though he practices in his mind step-by-step what he is going to do, he is also willing to be open to a better way to swing his club that makes a difference in the outcome. He is a risk taker with intention. He knows the heart and soul of what makes a successful event.

Can you practice in your mind what it is that you want to achieve?

And are you open to take risks or see that there is more than one way to be successful?

Intention Exercise: Practice In Your Mind
Please have a pad and pen close by so you can record your thoughts or answers.

If you'd like to take a walk or a drive before doing this exercise, go ahead. When you are ready to sit down and journal your thoughts, then come back to this page. When you are ready let's set the stage by putting on some soft music. Take the phone off the hook, turn OFF your cell phone and BE FULLY PRESENT for this exercise.

Write down what you want to do or to be.

Are you clear about this decision?

Can you imagine that you are moving in that direction?

How does it feel?

Do you need to make adjustments?

Do you need to do more research?

What are your fears? Can you face them and let them go?

When you're ready .... get into a comfortable position and simply relax.

Close your eyes and visualize yourself achieving...

Feel it • Sense it • Hear the claps and cheers of those supporting you.

See everyone standing up and applauding you for taking the steps to move forward. You have a wonderful support group.... feel the good feelings NOW.

Keep the vision close by.... if there are obstacles, look at them as well and adjust the vision.

Remember: Practice in your mind and make it happen.
